Mallory - Senior

Im on a break while shooting Megan and Mark's wedding today and thought I'd blog something fun. Its raining out, but my bride and groom are in great spirits and look amazing! More on that later.....

I love doing senior portraits this time of year! They are so fun and a great change of pace. Mallory has the most beautiful skin, and eye color. She looks stunning!
She graduates from Bingham High School this year.

I heart spring.

Last week I did some awesome bridals for Megan. It was such a pretty day out and I started to remember what spring feels like! I can't wait until mother nature makes up her mind and keeps the snow away for good. Or is it global warming that I need to consult?

Anyway, here is one of GORGEOUS megan. More to come as I get them all finished.

March Twenty Eighth

Really, we just couldn't have asked for a better, more beautiful day. Friday, snow. Sunday, snow. Saturday? Sunshine and 56 degrees!
Kenzie and Jason are such a fun and unique couple. Their wedding was nothing short of fabulous, as I knew it would be when I met them. Kenzie has such great syle and attention to detail. And a beautiful personality to go with it all...
Wedding: Salt Lake Temple
Reception: Heritage Gardens

Heres what I saw:

I have got to be honest. If Logan does this to me on our wedding day, he better run and hide because the wrath of the redhead (yes, I am a redhead) will come down on him.

Weddings.

After two months break from weddings I am SO happy to be back shooting them. Sometimes one just needs a vacation.... a long one.
I have been designing albums, learning a bunch of stuff, trying to up my business strategies, and coming back to myself. Spending a little 'me' time.

Anyway, on the 28th I was back to shooting weddings. And holy crap did I have some rock star clients to work with! Jason and Kenzie have been some amazing models for me, and their wedding was nothing less.

Here is just one moody shot... more to come VERY soon.

Jason & Kenzie, I hope you are having such a great time on your honeymoon!

While snowed in - in Washington

Better late than never.
This last year I spent my first Christmas outside Utah. I was looking forward to the dewy fresh smell of pine trees and mild Washington weather. They usually dont get hit with snow like we do.... until this year.
The day after we flew in, WA got one of the heaviest storms that they had seen in decades.
So, instead of shopping in seattle, taking a run in the rain, and driving up north, we stayed inside. Like. The whole time.
But you know what? I almost liked it better :)

Yes, this is Logan's back yard of his youth. Quite amazing.

We found a use for our time. Thats me being squashed under Logan during a not-so-victorious wresting match.
Thanks for trying to save me Leesha :)

There seemed to be a trend...

Or, you know, you can just jump off the deck into 3 and a half feet of snow.

Thomas and Amy - Album

This is definitely long overdue, but in looking through some of my 2008 wedding albums a few of these layouts from Thomas and Amy's wedding stood out to me.

Taylor Andrews

As part of my new years goals, I decided that I wanted to branch out a little more on my shooting style. Not just weddings and couples anymore! I love to shoot so many different things.
Taylor Andrews Academy of hair design hired me to shoot their models for the NAHA awards (North American Hairstyling Awards).
Although I can't actually show you the images they submitted, here are some of the others we got that day.
If you ask me I think they have some pretty dang good stuff. Hot.
